October News

Lots of exciting things happening this past month. It seemed to go by in a blur; hard to believe it's November already! Although, Kayleigh's quite happy to be welcoming in the new month, as she's counting down the days til that magical birthday when she finally hits "double digits."

In the beginning of the month, Kayleigh was awarded the "Citizen of the Month" award at school for the month of September. The character trait of the month was "Responsibility".
Although the school had told us that she would be getting the award so we could be there to watch (she wasn't told, though) we were surprised when they annouced Matthew as "Honorable Mention!" The look on his face was priceless; he was so proud!

Another season of flag football has come to an end, and a couple of weeks ago, Matt started hockey. He has been wanting to try hockey for over a year, and we found a great program for beginners at one of the area rinks. He's *never* been on ice skates before so we weren't sure what to expect, but he was determined and excited and you'd have never guessed when he first stepped onto that ice that it was his first time. He had no fear and just went out and skated!
