Back to School!

It's been a busy fall, but it's been good to get back to our regular "routine." Both kids love their teachers. Matthew has Mrs. *G* - the same teacher Kayleigh had in 2nd grade. She is a phenomenal teacher so we're thrilled! Kayleigh has Mrs. *S* and is so excited to finally have her best friend, Bailey, in class with her. Kayleigh is also excited to be doing library aide, student council, school newspaper and starting orchestra. How can 4th grade be so busy already?!?!?!
1st day of school 2008-09

Outside of school, the kids are back to a few of their favorite activites. Children's Choir is back in session at church, which both kids are in. In fact, Kayleigh had a solo this morning! Matt is doing flag football, which Timm is coaching again. Bad luck....their team this year is the Cowboys! Just as football is wrapping up, Matt will be giving *hockey* a try...eek! Irish dance lessons started up this month as well for Kayleigh, and we're busy trying to find a good pair of hard shoes that will fit right so she can start with that. Watch out Riverdance!

This past week, we were excited to be part of the McCain-Palin rally at the Resch Center. Timm and I went the the Bush rally during the last election, but this time we decided to bring the kids with us, and they were so excited! Kayleigh brought her little notebook along to take notes, of course. :) Really....they *wanted* to go!

As for Timm and me....Timm's loving his job at Hoffmaster. Our whole family is! It's been a great fit for him, with lots of opportunities. He's also still involved with the Oshkosh prison ministry through church as well as the men's ministry group. I'm still loving my job as well. I love being there; it's hard to believe it's been just over a year already! I'm also serving as co-president of the PTO at the kids' school this year. Add the two dogs, Brynlee and Sarge, into the mix, and we keep busy enough!
